1	What time the carnival starts?

Carnival Bands will be on the road from around 9am on both days .
2	What are the dates of the carnival 2011 events?

The carnival season starts in July with a number of events 28th Aug - Childrens Day 29th Aug - Adults Day .
3	What times the carnival finishes?

By 7pm the official carnival parade is expected to be completed .
4	What is the best mode of transport to the carnival?

Because of all the road closures and parking restrictions the best mode of transport will probably be public transport .
5	How do you get in and out of carnival?

Historically the most crowded ways in and out of carnival have been to the north of the carnival foot print particularly at Harrow Road/Great Western Road. For this reason we would advise people to use other ways in particularly from the south and west .
6	How to get a stall to trade at the carnival?

Stalls within the carnival footprint are currently controlled by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster City Council. 7	How to bring out a sound system at the carnival?

There is a limit to the number of official sound systems allowed to appear at Notting Hill Carnival. They are required to be members of a recognised carnival association and also registered by London Notting Hill Carnival Limited .
8	How to promote a new artist at the carnival?

There are no specific arrangements to promote new artists at carnival. However some limited opportunities are sometimes available for artistes to support carnival events through appropriate art forms e.g. steelband, calypso, soca .
